MG M-Type Midget |
This delightful M-Type Midget is one of over 250 cars once part of the
Langer Auto Museum in Kansas City, run by curator-owner Rudy Langer.
Sadly, "due to age", as he states, Rudy is slowly selling off his collection. Down to 86 cars now, this M-Type - the first of the pre-war Triple-M (Midget, Magna, Magnette) models - is also looking for a new home.
Produced between 1929-1932, the little MG M-Type put out 20 bhp, and most importantly placed the MG marque firmly on the sports car market map with its charming looks and racing triumphs.
As a distinctive 1930 boat-tail model, this car has a fabric body with metal bonnet, rather than the full metal body that came along the following year.
The Midget is listed at a hefty $39,500, despite it being listed privately on the Langer Auto Museum website for only $25,000. The 'Best Offer' feature is enabled, though, so if you're interested you can use that to put in a bid.
