MGA 1600 Mk2 Coupe |
UK-based enthusiasts looking for an ambitious MG restoration project might like to take a look at this 1962 MGA Coupe 1600 MkII that recently appeared on the MG AuctionWatch radar.
Stored in a garage for the past 25 years, it has seen better days - although it does appear to be mostly complete from what the few photographs show of the car. Described honestly as a "challenging restoration", it might appeal to those with plenty of time (and money) on their hands.
Interested parties might be buoyed by the relative rarity of this particular model: only 521 MGA 1600 Mk2 Coupes were produced, with fewer than half of those destined for the UK market as right-hand drive models.
And with the car currently being located slap-bang in the middle of England, in Staffordshire, it's a comfortable weekend drive from most corners of the country to take a look...
